This mindset would explain why some people consider and act on connection opportunities more than others and enjoy greater well-being.

Nine years later, Bill Groner and his partners settled the largest mass lawsuit in American history for over 10,000 first responders who suffered medical issues due to post-9/11 cleanup and rescue efforts. He was inspired by their selflessness and their decision to put “We” over “Me”—a concept that changed his perspective on everyday life.
